About Hamptons Homemade

Hi! My name is Ashley Koretz. Growing up, I spent the majority of my summers in The Hamptons. One of my fondest memories were the rainy days. Most kids were upset because they wanted to go to the pool or to the beach, but on those days my Mom would cheer us up by baking. We would make cakes, pies, cookies, you name it! These became some of my favorite memories of my childhood and developed my passion and love for baking.

When I moved to Manhattan in my twenties, I’d always end up baking for all of my friend’s special occasions (birthday’s, brunches, work parties, housewarmings, etc.). It got to the point where people started specifically asking me for special requests for events to either teach them how to bake something or to make something for them. It would vary from Tsoureki (Greek Easter bread) to chocolate whipped cream stuffed cupcakes, until a dear friend of mine finally suggested that I start a baking blog to share my story, my recipes, and my help to those of you that want to learn or want me to create special something for you…and then Hamptons Homemade was born! While I haven’t photographed everything I’ve made over the past few years, I have documented some of my most special goods that I’ve made over the past few months and will continue to do so going forward!

So please, enjoy and feel free to reach out to me if there is a special recipe you’d like me to try or if you’d like me to bake something for you personally for one of your special events!
